Alfredo Häberli (b. 1964) grew up in Buenos Aires and moved at the age of thirteen to Zurich, where he studied product design at the Kunstgewerbeschule (today ZHdK). In addition to furniture and products for the European design industry, he has also designed interiors, an entire hotel, and exhibition scenographies—including for the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich, which showed a retrospective of his work in 2008. In 2009, Häberli initiated “Atelier Pfister: New Swiss Design” at Pfister AG, and in 2014 he was awarded the Grand Prix Design of the Swiss Confederation. The upholstered TT Sofa demonstrates Häberli’s finely tuned sense of color, proportion, and everyday use. It consists of a solid shell surrounded by polyurethane foam. The cushion covers are removable thanks to zippers, allowing different textiles to be combined.
