Ruckstuhl has been producing high-quality rugs made from natural fibers since 1881 and has been working for many years with designers from different fields. The Spanish designer Victor Carrasco (b. 1974) studied design engineering at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, graduating with honors. Since then, he has been designing products for leading international companies and has been recognized with the prestigious Príncipe Felipe Award. For the tradition-steeped Swiss carpet-makers, he designed a rug edition called Balance. It consists of four large-format figures with axial symmetry, each with a different color gradient in the shades maize, red, navy blue, or black-and-white. Marked by an appealing harmony between color, texture, and proportion, the rugs were already presented by the Museum für Gestaltung in 2017 in the lobby of the Toni-Areal.
